Lieut . Genl. U. S. Grant American Bank Note Co. Engraving on paper, circa 1870, cut out and glued on strong sunken paper ( stained, rubbed and tained by age), ready to be framed in. The person who did this put a lot effort in this process as the proof appears to be an stainless steel engraving with the print of the the steel plate around the vignette and on the back.
