Tile tableau with lawyer representation, ca. 1900 A six-tile tableau with lawyer representation, polychrome decorated with a scene of two farmers fighting over a cow being milked by a lawyer. Text in the middle, below the scene: " Die pleit om een koe, geeft er één toe" Translated to English is 'Who pleads for a cow, admits one'. The lawyer who milks the cow while parties fight over that cow is the only one who benefits from the litigation. The tiles arre framed in an oak wooden frame The Netherland, Friesland, ca. 1900, Possibly Makkum Tichelaar. The measurements are 30 cm high, 43 cm wide and the depth is 2 cm The total weight is approx. 2 kilos
