White Majolica Neptune Platter Minton, circa 1865

About the Item

Majolica mythological platter which features four figural panels molded with Juno, Neptune, Mercury and Selene signed Minton, circa 1856. This platter had a rare turquoise blue background is an example of the Renaissance Revival at the end of the 19th century. The early Majolica production was very inspired by the Renaissance.
