Art Deco brass plate is an original decorative artwork realized in the 1930s.
Original brass decorative object.
Fine conditions: Vintage signs of aging are present.
Beautiful decorative plate realized with an hammered decoration on a on flared Stand ring arched wall with narrow flag. The plate is brilliant and the surface of the artwork is shiny and is an interesting example of the Bauhaus decorative style. The Bauhaus was founded in 1919 in the city of Weimar by German architect Walter Gropius. Its core objective was to reimagine the material world to reflect the unity of all the arts. In 1925, the Bauhaus moved from Weimar to Dessau, where Gropius designed a new building to house the school. Ludwig Mies van der Rohe succeeded him in 1930 and had to relocate to Berlin where it had to close in 1933.
