Early 19th century French botanical crayon & aquarelle in antique oak frame. Label en verso: Ecole de Mulhouse, Etude de fenouil, Crayon et aquarelle, Debut du 19eme siecle. Foxing. One deep scuff on frame. Attached is a card exploring fennel & anise in Dr. Reid's hand. Estate of Katharine Reid, former director of the Cleveland Museum of Art.
