Marcel Vertes Original Charcoal Drawing of French American Woman
A classic piece of artwork by well know artist Marcel Vertes. This art has been drawn in charcoal portraying a French American woman in a hat posing. Has been signed on the right by the artist. The print has been matted and framed in its original wood gold frame. Wonderful wall art piece to add to an existing collection.
Marcel Vertes lithographs, paintings, and illustrated books were created by the Hungarian born artist. His works were created while he was residing in France, beginning in the 1920’s. Later in life he moved to America. Many of his illustrated books have an erotic theme. He is also known for winning two Academy Awards. The awards are for Best Art Direction and Best Costume Design. The movie is Moulin Rouge.
