4 Charcoal drawings by Serge Kantorowicz Unique from series of 9 charcoal drawing available French painter of Polish descent Born in Paris in 1942, brought up by his grandmother after both parents died at Auschwitz Recipient of the Medal for Arts Studied at the College Technique des Arts Graphiques St. Estiennes from 1958-1961. Studied at the ecole des Beaux-Arts of Brussels in 1962. He was an engraver for numerous artists in Maeght's studios, then in the studio he co-owned with Sam Szafran, his cousin. He has worked for John Mitchell, Miro, Giacometti, Riopelle, Michaux. etc. He has fully devoted himself to his art since 1973.
