Vogue #3 and Vogue #2, set of watercolors on archival paper by Manuel Santelices Individual Dimensions: 12 in. H x 9 in. W Overall Dimensions: 12 in. H x 18 in. W 2016 Manuel Santelices explores the world of fashion, society and pop culture through his illustrations. A Chilean artist and journalist living and working in the US for the last 20 years. After writing stories about style, design, art and politics for a number of magazines, including the Spanish editions of Elle, Harper’s Bazaar and Esquire, and being fashion writer for Vogue Mexico and Latin American for seven years, Manuel decided to focus his attention to illustration, painting mostly with watercolors the same characters and events he covered as a journalist. The result, a series of one of a kind watercolors, which brings together social and fashion icons from different eras, from Diana Vreeland to Anna Wintour, in a show that seems to be ripped from the pages of a glossy magazine.
