Photagraphy by Carol Descordes "La Grenade", Limited Edition of 13, France, 2019 framed in a thin aluminum frame, commes with a certificate, printed on special 100% Cotton paper Carol Descordes was born into a family of gallery owners who transmitted her the culture and codes of classical art After studying psychology, she became an assistant in the studio of food photographer Jean-François Hamon. In 1991, she produced her own reports and photographs for various magazines such as La Bonne Cuisine, Le Chasseur Français, etc. In 1998, she created her own photography and graphic design studio "Le Studio 28" and continued her collaboration with various magazines (Seasonal cuisine, Gourmet cuisine ...) but also with major brands such as Nestlé, Bahlsen and agencies such as Paris Venice , Capital, Dragon Rouge ... In addition, she also works for caterers like Gaston Lenôtre. In 2008, she settled in the Perche hills at the edge of the forest and developed a photographic work whose central theme was the forest. This research gives rise to the publication of various works (Ma maison- a trip to the edge, the Tree of the day, The almost true story of the Princess with the Little Pea, Perche the forest spirit ...) as well as exhibitions. In 2013, her encounter with the antique dealer Sylvain Chériau gave her the opportunity to combine her knowledge of classical art with her practice of culinary photography to begin the production of a new series of photographs on the theme of still lifes. in parallel to her work with the forest .
