Photography Panoramic 1914 Indiana State Prison on the Outside Looking in

About the Item

Over one hundred people, a trolley car and a couple of automobiles were photographed for this amazing circa 1914 panorama photograph in front of the Indiana State Prison in Michigan City, Indiana. Entitled "On the Outside Looking in at Indiana State Prison, one of the many enjoyable features of the Laporte program of the Indiana Jewelers Association. June 20-22, 1914." Photograph signed Mecca. The wide 34 inch measurement includes .50 inch wooden frame. Ten years later this prison would be the home of John Dillinger.
