About the Item
Starring the iconic pairing of Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck, "Roman Holiday" was released in 1953 to huge critical and commercial success. Playing the role of Princess Ann, Hepburn became the first actress to win the Oscar, Golden Globe and BAFTA for a single role. Written by John Dighton and an at the time blacklisted and uncredited Dalton Trumbo, the film sees the princess and reporter meet in the Italian capital city.
This exceptionally rare cardstock poster was produced in limited numbers for the original release of the film in 1953 and was intended for display in high traffic areas. This poster has never been folded and has been backed on museum quality linen to ensure its preservation for the decades to come. This is certainly the rarest and in our opinion the most beautiful design created for the film and this piece is in mint condition, featuring the iconic image of the trio on a vespa.
