About the Item
The icon of counter culture and a "national phenomenon" upon release, this stunning poster for Bruce Brown's "The Endless Summer" is truly one of the all time greats of movie poster history. With the instantly recognisable design by John Van Hammersveld, the poster is a unique Day-Glo silkscreen, not a standard lithograph most widely used for posters.
The legendary cult surf documentary film follows two surfers as they travel the world for the perfect wave. The poster is in great condition. A couple of light tape marks, light patina and signs of handling. This handmade screen print is backed on museum quality linen to ensure its preservation for the decades to come.
