1977 Bally - Lotus Original Vintage Poster
About the Item
One of the most iconic and sought after designs of the 20th Century, the collaborations between Bernard Villemot and Bally showcase the crossover between advertisement and fine art.
The luxury Swiss shoemaker worked with the celebrated poster artist Villemot on a very limited number of designs for the brand from the 1960s to 80s. Known for his minimalist Art Deco aesthetic, his works for the likes of Bally, Orangina, Perrier and Air France are among the most influential and sought after pieces of advertising history.
This design known as "Lotus" is one of the rarest designs and depicts two figures in near mirror positions back to back with one another, both wearing colourful Bally shoes. The 1977 piece is in mint condition and backed on museum quality linen to ensure its preservation for the decades to come.
