About the Item
Based on Sol Yurick's 1965 novel, Walter Hill's 1979 film The Warriors is a celebrated cult classic from 1979. Depicting gang warfare, violence and vandalism, the distributors actually halted advertising the film upon release, and the initial reception was negative across critics. Since then of course, the story of The Warriors trying to cross New York City after being framed for murder has developed a great following and has been reappraised by critics.
This wonderful poster from the original release of the film in Spain features the iconic artwork by David Jarvis depicting a number of the New York City gangs that the Warriors come up against during the story. It is in great condition having been previously folded.
