Additional Details:
The artist depicts skiers getting off a train, skis and poles in hand, to find themselves directly at the foot of the slopes of the Col du Voza (departing from St Gervais les Bains, in Haute-Savoie).
This train uses the rack railway line called the Tramway du Mont-Blanc (TMB).
Roger Broders is one of the most prolific poster artists of the Art Deco period, just like Cassandre. He is inseparable from the PLM company which ordered more than a hundred posters from him between 1922 and 1932.
