Original antique advertising poster for the Parisian department store A La Place Clichy promoting its special fashion Summer Sale on Monday 1 April - A La Place Clichy Saison d'Ete Lundi 1 Avril. Fantastic Art Nouveau artwork by the French designer and poster artist Eugene Vavasseur (1863-1949) depicting an elegant lady in a fashionable dress and stylish hat with feathers in it, standing at a gate in the countryside with a white parasol umbrella, the stylised title in red and orange lettering above and rest of the text in white and green shaded letters down the side. Atelier Vavasseur, Asnieres. Printed by La Lithographie Nouvelle, Asnieres. Large size. Good condition, restored crease marks, backed on linen, linen trimmed to edges of poster.
