Original vintage Russian sci-fi movie poster for the film Nebo Zovyot / ???? ????? / Battle Beyond the Sun about a space race to be the first to land on Mars - a science fiction thriller directed by Mikhail Karzhukov and Aleksandr Kozyr, starring Ivan Pereverzev, Aleksandr Shvorin, K Bartashevich, Larisa Borisenko and Viktor Dobrovolsky. Striking illustration depicting a cosmonaut / astronaut standing in front of planets with a rocket flying in space in the background, the title and credit text below. (For the American release in 1962, Roger Corman had Francis Ford Coppola re-cut the film to add new footage and give the Russian characters American names to disguise the fact that it was a Russian movie.) Good condition, folds, creasing, tears, staining.
