Dynamic artwork by the notable Soviet political poster designer Viktor Koretsky (1909-1998) featuring a smiling Yuri Gagarin (Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin; 1934-1968), the Soviet pilot and cosmonaut who was the first man in space on 12 April 1961, in shades of blue with white stars and CCCP / USSR on his helmet in the centre, framed by an agricultural farmer and a factory worker on each side with wheat crops and Industrial machinery in the background.
