Built in 1938 the G-AFDI Frobisher was the first production DH91 Albatross aircraft that could carry 22 passengers and mail cargo; the plane was destroyed in 1940 during WWII in a German air raid. Sir Martin Frobisher (c.1535-1594) was an English explorer and privateer who sailed to the New World three times and was a squadron commander of a fleet during the Spanish Armada in 1588. Printed in England by Ben Johnson and Co Ltd York. Published in England by Imperial Airways Ltd. Horizontal.
