Original vintage World War Two poster featuring an image of an ARP Warden resting his head on his hand while napping against a brick wall below a notice - ... It all depends on me and I depend on God ... - with the title a quote by Winston Churchill below - ... Sleep to gather strength for the morning ... (Churchill 21.10.40) - a Union Jack flag visible in the war torn background with a note - Keep Off Time Bomb - on the side. Artwork by the Polish painter and official war artist Feliks Topolski (1907-1989). The Air Raid Precaution ARP service was set up in 1937. Penguin Print No 3 of which 10,000 copies have been lithographed and the plates destroyed. Drawn by Feliks Topolski, Lithographed in England at the Baynard Press, London and published by Penguin Books Ltd of Harmondsworth. Good condition, creasing, tears, staining.
