Original vintage World War Two poster - Make do and mend Save buying new - issued in support of the government campaign encouraging people to repair reuse and reimagine their clothes due to rationing featuring a black and white photograph of a man in military uniform descending on a parachute with the text - Miles and miles of silk A Parachute for every Airman - above an image of two dresses with the caption - No silk for new frocks convert your old - set over a striped background with the bold title text below. Printed for H.M. Stationery Office by Multi Machine Plates Ltd., London. Good condition, creasing, small tears, minor staining.
