Premier Fills Poster by Robys 1936

About the Item

An original Premier Fills beverage poster by Robert Wolff, also known as Robys. The horizontal poster advertises the French aperitif ‘Premier Fills’, a popular drink in France and very much of its time. The poster depicts a female figure dressed in orange gliding through the air, with a vehicle that appears to be a wheel propelled by wings on either side. The image features a group of horses led by a jockey in the foreground, whilst the female figure charges forward holding a bottle of the spirit. Printed by L.Marboeuf, Paris, the poster is signed and dated with the inscription ‘Robys 1936’. Professionally framed and matted in ultraviolet protective glass with an acid-free mount. The poster has been professionally restored by The Conservators as featured on the BBC television series ‘The Repair Shop’. A truly unique example of vintage beverage advertising. French,1936.
