Description: Antique print, titled: 'Japansche wapenen van den Kaisar.' - ('The Arms of the Japanese Emperor'). The image shows several official Imperial city seals, a banner and a standard. Arnoldus Montanus' "Gedenkwaerdige Gesantschappen der Oost-Indische Maatschappy in 't Vereenigde Nederland aan de Kaisaren van Japan […]. Amsterdam: Jacob Meurs, 1669. Artists and Engravers: Made by an anonymous engraver after 'Arnoldus Montanus'. Condition: Very good, given age. Left edge uneven, from binding. A small stain in the lower margin (manganese from papermaking process). As this is a page from a book, there is text beneath the image and on the rear of the sheet. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
