About the Item
"Butterflies an Roses" are a very valuable botanical handcrafted prints, made on a special cotton paper. The technique of printing on silver leaf is our reinterpretation of an ancient tradition.
The print was done in several steps. Initially the writings were printed with sepia ink to create a background and then the rose (Rosa Sinensis) and the butterflies, which were engraved with pure silver leaf.
Each print is entirely printed and colored in Italy by our master craftsmen.
This print is made with a special handmade cotton paper.

Each print is an artisanal Florentine product, reproducing images of the European 18th and 19th centuries with the same printing techniques (engraving with a star press), the golden age of prints, which are then finished and watercolored exclusively by hand.
