About the Item

A late, vintage Mid-Century modern Italian architectural wall sculpture " Chiaro di Luna " made of hand crafted bronze designed by Marcello Pietrantoni, in good condition. Wear consistent with age and use. Signed and dated on the left side 1988, Milan Italy. This wall sculpture was executed in a series of only six by Marcello Pietrantoni in 1988, Fonderia Artistica Battaglia, Via Stilicone 10, Milano. A signed certificate of authenticity 1994 / artist ref. 02629 with the signature of the artist will be provided at the time of purchase. Expositions: Spazio Ansaldo, organized by the City of Milan, in 1990. Castel Ivano - Fracena, Trento, in 1990. Marcello Pietrantoni is an Italian artist, sculptor and architect, born in 1934, in Brescia, northern Italy. Before Pietrantoni started designing and producing sculptures, he researched many diverse materials. In 1986, he began creating sculptures using bronze. Since then, there have been many exhibitions world wide dedicated to his work.
