Bold and enigmatic, this large-scale abstract artwork combines the hand of man and the hand of nature. The form has a minimalist simplicity: a broad sheet of metal is set within a wooden frame. The surface of the metal combines human intervention—rivets, scratches, sanding—with the natural effects of time upon the material. The resulting color palette of warm bronze, dark steel and ghostly white, inflected with bright touches of rust creates a subtle and compelling Industrial composition.
