Antique Japanese Silk Brocade Oshie Art Geisha Puppet Dolls in Shadow Box Frame
About the Item
A unique set of 4 antique Japanese silk brocade "Oshie" art Showa puppet dolls. Elegantly displayed in an acrylic shadow box frame. Circa early 20th century. The geisha-style dolls were traditionally made with layered kimono fabric that are hand-pressed together to give a three-dimensional look. "Oshie" is a traditional Japanese craft that dates back to the 17th century. Dimensions: 36.75"w x 2.25"d x 20.5"h (framed). In very good vintage condition.
