About the Item
A dynamic brutalist acid-etched metallic design wall art by Bernhard Rohne for Mastercraft. Circa 1970s. Original gallery tag on verso. Bernard Rhone (1944- ) is known for his distinctive designs where he explored chemical reactions with copper and acid. In the 1970s Rohne began to collaborate with Mastercraft to create brass plaques and panels for furniture and decorative items. The result is an elegant Abstract Expressionist design in oxidized metals. The designs fit well within a brutalist, Hollywood regency or midcentury modern aesthetic. From a private collection. Dimensions: 48"w x 1.75"d x 32"h (framed). In very good vintage condition.
