Submitted for your consideration is this Circa mid 20th century CBS News artifact. We had only two of these rare pieces and one has just sold to a CBS executive. The one offered here, is now the last remaining piece like this anywhere. These Newsreel Film Courier Pouches were used to air ship news film back to the CBS network laboratories for fast laboratory processing and then airing on the evening news. These were in use to 'counter to counter' air ship film back to the USA during the Korean and Vietnamese wars as well as from other out of the way locations where important news was happening. This original News Film Pouch is in 'new old stock' condition and was never used. The colors are bold, vibrant and 100% original. The woven jute and paper pouch is framed in a black, shallow, shadow box frame, under glass and looks spectacular. With the advent of video and electronic news gathering, the use of film and courier film pouches were both discontinued.
