Maurice Chalvignac Mid-Century Modern Art Pottery Decorative Wall Plaque
About the Item
This highly decorative wall sculpture or mosaic was done by the well Maurice Chalvignac of Canada and dates to approximately 1965 and done in his signature Mid-Century Modern style. The sculpture is composed of a series of art pottery pieces with a high gloss finish depecting a stylized dancer or acrobatic performer with four white balls. The colors of the art pottery are vibrant contrasting bright orange with black and white and mounted on a teak veneered pine or maple board. The wall hanging is clearly signed with a small glazed pottery tile in the bottom left corner with "Chalvignac". The plaque has model numbers on the back with a heavy cord for hanging.
