About the Item
CHARLES SUCSAN COLLECTION (Born in 1932) The work of C harles Sucsan is part of the important artistic movement that marked the Decorative Arts in Quebec. Born in France of Hungarian parents, he studied drawing, painting, sculpture and ceramics in Paris before moving to Montreal in 1952. Recognized ceramist among the best of his generation, he created several large murals in the sixties and the seventies, including at Habitat 67 and at the University Hospital of Sherbrooke. His unique ceramic objects are part of important private, corporate and museum collections (Quebec's National Museum of Fine Arts).
This wall sculpture was part of a decoration of a brussel apartment in the early seventies.
