This exuberant antiquated Mughal period hand-crafted white and gold enamel Polki diamond bangle is heavenly. The picturesque engraving of our beloved nature with leaves, flowers, and other artistic elements through the exposed thin yellow gold outlines with the transparent white enamel covering the whole engraved area. This kind of Meena/enamel form is also called “Ek Rang Khula Meena,” which is the most ornate and complex work by the engraver. The enamel work is usually done at the back of the jewelry piece, but in this particular bangle, it’s done both ways to elevate the design’s elegance.
The alternate addition of uneven-shaped syndicate Polki diamonds in a hammered gold setting and fiery blood-red enamel is another fascinating element showcasing the fire flames of the golden era. It gives more life and color to the translucent bangle with hand-embroidered solid gold jali/network all-around the bangle’s edge on both sides.
This instrumental design and bangle style date back many centuries with the traditional side screw lock to open and close the bangle for extra security with the help of your loved one.
The solid 22k gold is purposely used in these enamel/Meena bangles, as the meenakari shows the best on gold as it has a natural sheen that sets off the colors of Meenakari beautifully. It also holds the enamel better and adds shine to it.
