Gorgeous Bowenite/Serpentine Bangle
About the Item
This beautiful natural Serpentine/Bowenite bangle has a translucent pale greenish color. The bangle is smooth on all surfaces to highlight the natural properties of the stone. Serpentine or Bowenite has recently been referred to as "new jade", and is said to approximate the effect of jade - but in fact it is not actual natural jade.
The bangle measures - outer diameter is 8 cm with an inner diameter of 5.5 cm. The bangle is substantial, with a weight of 58.32 grams. Its has a vitreous luster, and is smooth and cool to the touch.
The origin of the bangle is Gandamak, Afghanistan.
