About the Item

Cuff bracelet designed by the Atelier Munsteiner. A gorgeous one-of-a-kind sculptural piece, created in Germany by the Munsteiner Atelier. It was crafted, with impeccable details in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with brushed finish. The craftmanship, the details and the finish are exceptional. It is suited, with an invisible hinge and a discrete push boxed lock. Embellished at top, with a fancy Munsteiner cut (13 x 22 x 9 mm) of a natural vivid watermelon tourmaline, with a weight of 21.45 carats. Have a total weight of 62.5 grams and fit a wrist up to 7 inches. The width measure is 12 mm Stamped, with the maker's mark and the gold assay hallmarks ".750". Munsteiner, Bernd Munsteiner (b. 1943) invented the fantasy cut (concave cuts made on the back of gemstones). Munsteiner freely sliced away carats on the backs of gemstones to create spectacular lightshows on their fronts. The only ideal proportion he acknowledged was the one that freed the natural beauty he saw hiding in the stone. Many in the gem and jewelry trade didn’t know what to make of the fantasy cut. But the critics eventually became admirers, and Munsteiner pieces ended up in galleries and museums. Munsteiner most famous work may be the Dom Pedro, Ondas Maritimas, an exquisite 10,363 carats aquamarine gemstone. It is so breathtaking that the Smithsonian said it is “one of the few objects in the world that can hold its own in a display case just 30 feet from the Hope Diamond.” It is in perfect condition.
