Antique Victorian French jet beaded bracelet, bangle
About the Item
A gorgeous antique Victorian era French jet bracelet.
Carved and engraved panels of rich shiny black French jet are strung onto an elastic thread.
It is a bangle type bracelet and it does have some stretch to it being on elastic.
French jet is imitation jet made from glass, Jet became very popular in the mourning era of the Victorian times and French jet was created as a more easily accessible and cheaper alternative to the fossilised Whitby Jet.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, signs of use and wear commensurate with age, some repairs to some beads but very well done, some light surface scratches
