Antique Edwardian 9ct Rose Gold Albert Chain Bracelet
About the Item
An antique Edwardian Albert chain bracelet made from solid 9 carat gold curb links that have a beautiful rose gold hue with a twisted oval design. Each link is marked 375 which stands for 9 carat gold. The chain is provided with an antique swivel clasp.
Albert chains are named after Prince Albert and were used by wealthy Victorian gentlemen to secure a pocket watch by attaching it to the buttonhole of a waistcoat through the T-bar. Later, they also became a popular accessory for women and were turned into beautiful necklaces and bracelets.
This Albert chain bracelet is in very good condition and dates from circa 1901 – 1910. The chain length is 20.8 cm and 0.6 cm wide. The weight of the bracelet is 14.63 grams.
