Antique Victorian Star Sterling Silver Cuff Bracelet

A dazzling, Victorian sterling bracelet, chock full of hand engraving, struck with three faceted raised stars, is one of the more unusual bracelets made during the silver revolution in Great Britain from c.1860-1880. I have not seen another. Note the raised borders with small daisies between the wiring and the appliqued stars with each facet of silver separately beveled. It is an outstanding cuff bracelet that appears modern, through far from it, and can be worn with anything, anytime, any season. Just a quick rub of a jewelry cloth with keep it shining.
Silver jewelry proliferated when Queen Victoria broke her pattern of black mourning jewelry, wore silver, and gifted the famous singer, Jenny Lind with a silver necklace. The silver jewelry industry took the queen's gift as a sign that a new trend would develop and we have been gifted by the many examples of the period that have come down to us from that era. Our bracelet is in excellent condition. It is 1 1/4 inches high. The inner width along the oval is 2 1/8 inches. It will fit a small wrist, size 5 1/2 to 6 1/4. 36.7 grams in weight
