MIGHT HAVE REPAIR ON BRACELET This stunning bracelet was designed by Andreas Mikkelsen a silversmith who worked at Georg Jensen. The bracelet has an oval shaped flat onyx accent piece. Bracelet measures 2.5" wide by 1.40" tall by 2.64" deep. The opening is adjustable by squeezing it. It is marked Design HPS 925S. Denmark A. MIK. Andreas Mikkelsen is modernist silver artist from Denmark in Copenhagen 1970-1978 and H.P.S represents Hans Peter Springborg from Løgstør 1968 - 1988. Andreas Mikkelsen Biography from Jensen Silver: Andreas Mikkelsen grew up in the town of Handbjerg, catching fish and lobsters which he sold to a nearby hotel. In his youth he moved to Copenhagen where he trained at the Niels Brock School before attending the Copenhagen Business School and finally taking a career as a sales manager for Georg Jensen in 1963. He quickly progressed at the silversmithy and in 1970 established his own design company, A/M Design where he developed his own jewelry for eight years before returning to Georg Jensen and in 1983 became the artistic director after it merged with Holmegaard Glassworks. Later, he moved to London to design watches and jewelry independently both A/M Design and Georg Jensen and in 1992 he was awarded both the Kaj Bojesen Prize as well as the Design Plus Award. Andreas Mikkelsen died on July 26th, 2008 at the age of 79. These modernist concave circle earrings are accented by an onyx cabochon. Tehe earrings measure .83" tall by .81" wide by .31" deep. NE From Biography from Modern Vintage Style: NE FROM was born in 1908 in Denmark and trained as a silversmith. His silversmithy was founded in 1931 as a small workshop for jewellery repairs. A wholesale production company was established in the late 1940's joining in with the prosperous and lucrative period of Scandinavian design. NE FROM generally exported 50% of production to Western Europe, the United States, and Japan. There are two distinct styles in the NE From jewellery production. In the early years floral and foliage pieces were designed by NE From. In the 1960's bold modernist style pieces were introduced by another designer. Different signatures were used by the company. Small pieces may be marked "FROM". Some have"NE FROM, STERLING, DENMARK, 925S" in a square. Others may have the NE FROM signature in an italic style. These days NE FROM jewellery availability is limited and therefore prices for collectors have risen accordingly. He is know as one of the greats of modernist Danish jewellery design.

Repaired: There is a line where a jeweler put solder were the bracelet cracked. I had my jeweler look at it. It is stable. Please look at photo with the finger. Wear consistent with age and use. normal wear for its age - tarnish & light scratches. There has been a repair where it cracked. Please see photos.
