Art Deco Diamond and Natural Ruby Platinum Line Bracelet

About the Item

An absolutely stunning and rare diamond and ruby line bracelet from the Art Deco (ca1920-30s) era! Made of platinum, this gorgeous piece is comprised of 30 total links accented with old European Cut diamonds and luscious natural rubies, which wrap around the entire length of the piece. The sparkling diamonds are prong set and the rubies are set within long calibrated sections. The bracelet carries a flowing filigree pattern with alternating sections of calibré cut rubies and diamonds, separated by 3 solid diamond links. Five larger old European Cut diamonds are incorporated into the striking design, creating a dramatic focal point. Fine milgrained detail runs along the edges of the bracelet, perfectly accenting the look of the piece and a hand engraved design can be found along the sides. With a total of 125 diamonds, the overall weight measures approximately 3.50ctw and the stones have a VS1-VS2 clarity range and G-H color range. The 32 natural rubies measure approximately 2ctw in total and have a vivid pinkish red color. The bracelet has a push clasp hidden within one of the links along with a fold over safety catch, which is stamped "6 931". The bracelet comes with an appraisal issued by an independent and accredited GIA certified Graduate Gemologist in November 2009, and has a stated retail replacement value of $25,000.00. The piece has a very striking look and would be beautiful worn by itself or grouped with other complimentary line bracelets! The bracelet measures approximately 7 1/4" long, is 3/8" wide and 1/8" thick.

Wear consistent with age and use. The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting, and all of the diamonds and rubies are intact. The clasp and safety catch are secure and in good working condition.
