Fine Diamond Bracelet 18K Gold with Fine White Brilliant Cut Diamonds, c. 1960

About the Item

18K yellow and white gold bracelet with diamonds. This elegant bracelet is hand made, weighs 48.9 grams or 31.44 dwts or 1.57 troy ounces. There are 21 quite sturdy links which results in a length of 6-7/8ths inches and a width of 3/8th inches. This vintage bracelet, possesses 63 fine white diamonds throughout set in 18K white gold ( diamonds should be set in white metal - white gold or platinum). Our internal gemologist has estimated the diamonds weight to be 1.90 cts. All of these stones are near colorless, H, and very slightly included in clarity. The 18K yellow gold rope motif surrounding the diamonds are set in a diagonal creating a more visually complex design. Completing the design are small beads at the end of each link. This rope and ball motif is a 1960's classic design one sees in vintage Van Cleef & Arpels and David Webb pieces. Many times, designers borrowed design elements they admired. This bracelet is in fine condition and stamped on the verso 18K with a maker's mark with which we are unfamiliar. The clasp is well made and there are two safety clasps. Please note our model has a medium to large wrist size.
