Victorian 14kt Multi-Gemstone Slide Compliation Bracelet

About the Item

An incredible and unique multi-gemstone slide bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This stunning yellow gold compilation piece features ten highly decorative slide pendants gracing a beaded double-stranded chain. The gorgeous slides are formed into various shapes and each is embellished with various genuine gemstones. The gemstones include emeralds, rubies, turquoise, opals, and sapphires. All of the stones are flush-set in their sliders in star-shaped settings. Beginning with the final slide, which functions as the box for the clasp, there are five light rubies. The next slide is heart-shaped and features ten dark-blue sapphires. The third slider features seven small opal cabochons that give off wonderful hues of pink, orange, and purple. The following slide showcases nine, rich, green emeralds. The fifth uniquely shaped slide has nine lighter blue sapphires and is followed by a round slide with nine more fiery opal cabochons. Following the round slider with opals, we have a more oblong slider with ten rubies of various shades of pink and red. The next slide is round and holds nine turquoise cabochons in a pale robin's egg blue. Another heart-shaped slide follows holding ten more rubies with various hues. The final slide before the tongue for the box clasp holds eight blue-green emeralds. Resting in between each slide are two gold beads that move freely along the double-stranded rope chain, providing wonderful movement to the design. This fun collection of slide pendants would be perfect for any antique jewelry collector! Measurements: The bracelet measures approximately 7 1/8" in total length. The largest slide measures about 1/2" wide, 3/4" long, and is a little more than 1/4" thick. The smallest slide measures about 1/2" wide, 1/2" long, and 1/8" thick. Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the yellow gold setting or chain except for a small hole on the side of the ruby heart slide, which is not noticeable when worn. Some of the small stones show signs of wear, but this should be expected given the age. The clasp and safety latch are secure and in good working condition.
