Postmodern Sterling Silver & Silk Cord Tension Bracelet
About the Item
A unique postmodern Memphis style sterling silver bracelet that is a combination of artistry and engineering. The cocktail shaker shaped body of the bracelet is actually a container with a secret compartment. It opens with a cap which can also act as a bracelet closure though the pale gray, blue, pink and hot pink braided silk band easily slides open and keeps the bracelet in place by tension. The sterling is accented by a checkerboard pattern which really provides a 1980's vibe to the look. Unbelievably, this amazing piece is unsigned with no hallmarks though it is definitely artisan made by a talented mind.
CONDITION
Good vintage condition with some surface scratching to the sterling from age and wear.
MEASUREMENTS
The sterling silver body of the bracelet measures 2.5" long x 1.5" at the widest. The cording measures approximately 8.25" from end to end. The cord slides to accommodate various sizes.
