This vibrant Emerald Sapphire Diamond Bracelet made in the Contemporary Era, circa 2000s, is rich tapestry of spectacular gemstones. The 6.75-inch (17.15 cm) bracelet crafted in 18K white gold shows very little metal save for the mountings and clasp, so the focus can be on the phenomenal hand-carved emeralds with an estimated weight of 67.22 carats total, and sapphires with an estimated weight of 126.95 carats total. The bracelet is a contemporary one-of-a-kind update of an opulent form created in Paris in the 1920s, called the “Tutti Frutti” bracelet, which was comprised of hand-carved gemstones and diamonds linked together. In the same idiom as this fully custom example, the bracelets were extravagant and colorful, sometimes stylized depictions of nature or vines. The centerpiece of the bracelet is a lovely cushion shape emerald carved with a bas relief flower, weighing an estimated 19.13 carats, and accompanied by a report no. GRS2016-018129 dated 5 January 2016 from Gemresearch Swisslab (GRS) stating that it is a natural beryl type green emerald of Zambian origin with minor clarity enhancement. At the clasp opposite the centerpiece is another polished and carved emerald, this one in the shape of a leaf, weighing an estimated 4.99 carats, and accompanied by a report no. GRS2016-099276 dated 21 September 2016 from Gemresearch Swisslab (GRS) stating that it is a natural beryl type green emerald of Zambian origin with insignificant clarity enhancement. Additionally, 15 beautiful leaf-shape carved emeralds with an estimated weight of 31.29 carats total radiate out in all directions as if falling gently from the sky. Eleven luminescent pear-shape cabochon emeralds weighing and estimated 11.81 carats total are a lovely naturalistic counterpoint to the 52 bezel-set round diamonds, weighing an estimated 1.91 carats, four of which embellish the prongs of the flower emerald. One can revel in the blue green sea of colored gems, particularly the fabulous sapphire cabochons. There is quite a lovely mix of organic rounded shapes and leaf shapes including 16 mixed cut cabochon sapphires weighing approximately 69.23 carats total which pave a meandering path down the middle of the bracelet, 21 round cabochon sapphires weighing approximately 15.28 carats total, and 17 pear shape cabochon sapphires custom-carved into leaves weighing approximately 42.44 carats.
