The pierced decorated, circular design displays a feature central collet set 1.69ct round faceted cut amethyst. The symmetrical millegrain decorated scrolling frame is further embellished with twelve collet set round faceted cut peridots, totalling 0.22ct. The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp fastening. This antique gemstone brooch is hallmarked to the reverse with the gold mark (15ct), the maker's mark (VBO)and the French patent mark (DEPOSE).
