About the Item

Fine early 20 century fob Crystal glass and 18K Gold brooch with suspended pendant of 3 cast seals depicting a portrait of a woman, a crown with orb and two scepters and a Ship. Brooch is decorated with three bezel set Seed Pearls. Swedish hallmarks both on the back side brooch and the spinner of the fob( worn) , maker's and year combination is G7 / made in 1909. All metal parts including the needle but except the closure of lock - in solid 18K Yellow Gold. That is well possible to remove the spinner with the fob and to convert it into the pendant to be warn on the chain. Measurements: the entire piece hangs approximately 36 mm long from the top to the bottom edge of the seal .The fob is 11 mm wide x 11 mm . Weight: 6.8 grams Used fine condition, demonstrates very well. Minor chips on the edges of the glass fob with no apparent damages to intaglios that make fine impressions on anything soft. Closure of lock is not Gold, apparently later replacement ( it was patented in ca. 1930s). > Most of the items that we sell are not new at all if not stated otherwise. Stones with closed backs may seem darker than stones with open backs. Such nuances of color perception do not give any excuse to claim item to be not as described. Unfortunately Internet sales do not allow us to see the items in person before we get them by post.
