The brooch has been modelled in the form of the regimental badge of The Royal Northumberland Fusiliers (5th)*. The brooch depicts St. George upon a horse, killing a dragon. A green enamelled banner to the lower border bears the Latin motto 'Quo Fata Vocant', meaning 'Whither the Fates call'. This fine and impressive antique bar brooch has been crafted in 14k yellow gold with 14k white gold settings. The antique brooch is ornamented with seven impressive collet set square faceted cut green tourmalines, totalling 4.20cts. Each feature tourmaline alternates with a white gold pave set eight-cut diamond, in a horizontal linear formation, completing the design. The antique brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and sheath fastening.
