1950's MIRIAM HASKELL Baroque Seed Pearl and Montee Rhinestone Stickpin

About

Designed in the shape of a figural butterfly, this stickpin by Miriam Haskell is iconically Haskellesque in its tone and construction. Tiny wired seed pearls and montee rhinestones embellish this delicate beauty, and lovely ender slide elements adds security and decorative functionality to the mechanism which holds the stickpin to the wearer's garment. Lovely antiqued 'roman gold' finish to the base metal adds elegance and a touch of historicism. Stickpins were a savvy way the designer recycled single earrings from her workshop's output, and became quite popular within her line's offerings.
