A fine antique 0.62 carat opal and 0.06 carat diamond, 15 karat yellow gold, platinum set bar brooch; part of the antique jewellery / estate jewelry collections This antique opal brooch has been crafted in 15k yellow gold with a platinum setting. This impressive bar brooch features a central millegrain decorated collet set 0.62ct cabochon cut opal. The feature gemstone is flanked to either side with a collet set Old European round cut diamond, totalling 0.06ct. This fine example of antique jewellery secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and hallmarked clip style fastening. The clasp is hallmarked with the 15k gold mark (15ct) and this impressive brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 15k gold and platinum. The gold opal brooch is supplied with an IDGL diamond and gemstone grading report card. Images do not always reflect the true colour and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual colour and showcases each stone. Condition This brooch is very good quality, set with an impressive opal displaying a scintillating play of colour. The high colour graded diamonds display a fine white colour and brilliance. The brooch is a very good gauge of gold and platinum and is in very good condition, with a clear hallmark to the clasp.
