About the Item

An impressive antique 0.45 carat sapphire and 0.60 carat diamond, 14 karat yellow gold heart shaped brooch; part of our diverse antique jewelry and estate jewelry collections. This fine and impressive antique sapphire brooch has been crafted in 14k yellow gold with a silver setting. The pierced decorated, heart shaped design is ornamented with a claw set oval mixed cut 0.45Ct sapphire. The sapphire is flanked on one side by a feature 0.17Ct and 0.15Ct Old European round cut diamond. The floriated silver setting is embellished with a further eight pavé set Dutch cut diamonds. The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp fastening. The clasp is hallmarked with the town mark for Vienna (A), the Austrian hallmark for 580 fineness gold (A, fox head, 4), and the maker's mark 'FG'. The pin is also hallmarked with the town and maker's marks. This antique Austrian brooch is supplied with two independent diamond grading certificates for the feature diamonds in addition to an independent diamond grading report card for the supporting stones and sapphire. Images do not always reflect the true color and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual color and showcases each stone. Condition This impressive antique gemstone brooch is fine quality set with an impressive sapphire, with a minor loss, and very high color graded old cut diamonds displaying a fine white color and brilliance. The brooch is a very good gauge of gold and is in excellent condition with clear Austrian hallmarks to the fastening.
