About the Item

This brooch is stunning, maybe one for good luck or the horse lover - regardless anyone would be proud to wear this piece. Circa 1900's and expertly crafted from the era, featuring the most striking red/pink Burmese rubies, a total of 19 oval shaped graduated rubies with an estimated weight of 1.00ct claw set in yellow gold. Two rows of intricate open work form the gallery, the inner rim of the horseshoe features 21 old european cut diamonds with an estimated weight of 0.60cts. The diamonds are bright white mounted in platinum with a colour of I-J and clarity VS - SI. The brooch is fitted with a hinged yellow gold pin on the reverse with a safety clasp on the catch. This is a wearable work of art - looks so eye-catching on a black jacket or coat or it could be worn as a pendant by attaching to a chain.
